ŠABOVIĆ MOSQUE

The Šabović mosque was built by Haso (Jakup Ferov) Šabović with his brothers in 1900 on Janja glavica, as his own endowment. It is built of hewn stone, it does not have a wooden sofa, the roof is made of thermoplastic (imitation shingles), and the minaret is made of pine wood. The minaret is 7.5 m high and rises from the roof. The base of the mosque is a rectangle, with external dimensions of 8.8011 m. It was thoroughly renovated in 1964 and 1979. An annex with three domes, measuring 8,302.5 m, was built at the entrance. The mosque has an ablution and a gasulhana. Above the entrance to the mosque there is a tarikh - an epigraph about the construction of the mosque, carved on a 50×60 cm stone slab.
