🔹 Plav can proudly boast of the fact that it even has two winners of the highest state recognition in the field of education - the "Oktoih" award.
🔹 The winner of the "Oktoih" award in 2004 was Ramo Kolašinac, the longtime director of "Bećo Bašić" Junior High School in Plav.
🔹 In the same year, 2004, the winner of the "Oktoih" award was Halil Markišić, M.Sc., professor of biology and chemistry from Rožaj, born on January 1, 1948 in Vojno Selo near Plav.
🔹 The "Oktoih" award, which these two residents of Plav received in the same year, confirms not only their personal contribution to education, but also the strength of tradition in the education of the Plav region.
🔹 Their biographies and professional achievements remain a permanent inspiration for generations of educators in Montenegro.
